A sunny, non-raining day in Oregon NEEDS to be utilized. We spent the warm, dry afternoon at Bauman Farms! Apple cider donuts, candy, popcorn and the pumpkin patch. So fun! It was really hard to get a good picture of the girls together. After a while I gave up and just decided to enjoy the day without worrying about getting the right photo. Way more fun that way.
Best shot of both girls in the patch....
Best shot of both girls by the hay bales...
Such a great day!! Blue skies!!!
My parents brought their dog, Kitzel. Kitzel met a pig for the first time. She wanted to play. The pig did not.
The goat was enormously pregnant. And we didn't feed her the food she was expecting...poor thing...

Pumpkin Carving
We spent 2 FHE nights carving pumpkins. Travis did most of the work, but Shelby designed all the faces.
PUMPKIN #1
Don't let this picture fool you. Shelby didn't scoop out ANY of the pumpkin innards. She actually dry heaved because it was so gross.

Cookie Decorating
Tyler came over after school and helped us decorate cookies. A huge mess was made, but it was way fun. Sprinkles on the carpet DO NOT vacuum up, by the way.

Leavenworth
I've been wanting to visit Leavenworth for a really long time so we finally decided to make the trip. Half way through the 5 hour drive Shelby told me her tummy hurt. I assumed she was hungry since it was just around lunch-time so I gave her an apple. 10 seconds later to puked all over the place. It was the worst pukage I have ever seen. Trav and I did a great job cleaning up, but the car smelled like puke the rest of the trip. Other than that, the trip was great. Leavenworth is a cute Bavarian town and the food was delish. Shelby's favorite part of the trip was our cabin at KOA. She slept on the top bunk, which she thought was the coolest thing ever.

Bauman Farms
I love going to harvest festivals and farms in October. Our favorite farm to visit is Bauman Farms. This is the 3rd year Shelby and I have gone to Bauman Farms and the first year that Travis was able to join us! It was also the first year that Shelby was actually interested in participating in some of the farm activities.
Shelby had fun sitting in the hazelnut bin, but wasn't sure what to do.

October
I love pumpkins and scarecrows, corn stalks and caramel apples, football and blankets, farm festivals and hay rides, corn mazes and apple cider, crunching leaves and vibrant colors, hot chocolate and pumpkin bread.
October makes me so very happy.

Bauman Farms
Every fall, Bauman Farm, near Wilsonville, Oregon hosts a huge Autumn Festival for kids. The Bauman Farm store has tons of fall items like apples, corn and other fall goodies. This year I was able to go with my sister, Jill and my sister-in-law, Jessica and some friends. The kids came along as well.
