Same Park. Different Time

I've been walking at Chapin park in the morning because the weather has been so lovely. Usually, I have the park to myself. Every now and then I'll be joined by an older lady speed walking or a few elderly couples slowly walking around the track. Yesterday, my mom joined me in the fun and we were able to walk 2 miles before the little Shelbster had enough. On good days I can get 4-5 miles in. Love that!

Today, the weather was even better so I was hoping to get in 5 miles before Shelby freaked out on me. I wasn't able to make it to the park until 10:30 (I usually walk at 8:30) and I was shocked to see the track covered with moms pushing strollers. I had never seen this before. I was 100% sure no moms walked at Chapin park. Ever. Just me. As far as I knew I was the the only mom walker at Chapin park. Turns out I'm wrong. Unfortunately, for me Shelby freaked out just after 1/2 mile so I was only able to walk 1 lousy mile before I was forced to call it quits.

On my way to the car a fellow mom stopped me to invite me to join the stroller stride group. How fun, I thought. I was handed a brochure and was told the first class is free. Oh...I have to pay for it. Blah. Turns out it costs just as much as our gym membership, so this won't be happening. But, if I can make it to the park say every MWF at 9:30 I can at least walk the track with other moms around. Could be fun.
