We Went Camping!

Travis and I loaded up the car Saturday morning and headed out to Silver Falls State Park. We had awesome weather and a toddler who behaved tolerably well most of the time. What more could we ask for?

We were able to hike to several of the falls. We hiked to a few of them on Saturday and the others we visited on Sunday.

You can't tell in the picture, but Shelby was not happy about something. She screamed the entire way to the falls. Don't you just love friendly hikers who offer to take photos for you?

We stopped to look at a vantage point on the way to the trail head. This was a gorgeous view, but we made sure we didn't stay long.

This sign can't be for real, but we stayed 20 minutes just to stick it to the man. What a dumb rule.

Whenever we go camping it seems there is always a photo of Travis with a kid on his shoulders.

And one of me not knowing I'm getting my photo taken.

I'm glad I only spent 10 bucks on this camping chair. Shelby never sat in it.

Travis spent 3 hours trying to light wet wood on fire. Travis was NOT a happy camper. I was just a cold camper. Eventually, we found dry wood and a fire started shortly thereafter.

On Sunday morning, Shelby decided to help pack things up. She started by helping with the folding up of the tent by stomping on it.

She brought the pillows to dad

and then took them back. Several times.

And then she tried to drive the car when we weren't looking. She really is helpful.

We spend many summers camping with our kiddos and they love it! I love it too, they get to play hard all day, have fun out in the woods, dirt,& mommy letting them cook hot-dogs over a fire and then zonk out at night. It is Fabulous!
