Every summer Tristan flies to Oregon for a nice long visit. This time he gets to stay 3 weeks. The kids couldn't be happier...and well, me too. I just love this kid. He is always saying the funniest things. Today, Tristan was at my place hanging out. Tristan and Shelby were playing together on the floor and Shelby noticed his toy hanging from his pocket.
She immediately reached for it, but Tristan didn't want her to have it because he didn't want her to break it. It's a legitimate concern.
Anyway, she ended up snatching it and slobbering all over it. This is our conversation that followed.
Tristan: "Aunt Ann, do you know what that toy is?"
Ann: Yes, it's a pet." (I remembered this toy from last summer and from a few months ago, he's always playing with it. It's one of those computer pets...)
Tristan: "No it's not, its a Tomagotchi."
Ann: Ok, well what's that?"
Tristan: "...a pet."

Aww, children. Be prepared as Shelby will have this same logic and hers will last until she is 18.
