Has It Really Been That Long?!

I was looking through my old photo albums yesterday. I started out with my Utah State photo album. I couldn't believe how much time has passed since I was a student walking up the hill to campus in 3 feet of snow wondering why I didn't take the Aggie Shuttle. I miss a lot of things about Logan and it was making me a little home sick. Then I pulled out my Ricks College album. My first thoughts were of how old we have all become and how I can barely remember half of the people I cared enough to scrapbook. My mom told me that would happen. Anyway, here are a few of my scrapbook pages...

It's a true story. I fell 7 times in 1 semester.
I have some funny stories about those times.

Trip to IF (Idaho Falls), The first snowfall in OCTOBER,
Girls hanging out, trying to have fun when there is nothing to do,
Cara and I just got our upper ears pierced, eating a Big Judd burger

In my 2nd year, was a manager at the Ricks College flower shop (yes, Ricks has a flower shop) The Horticulture department puts on a wedding flower show every year
and this is some of the girls making their wedding bouquets.
That's me with my wedding bouquet.

And because I just scanned these Utah State photos into my computer yesterday, I'll share those too.

Me at USU in 2002, my senior year!
I was tan because I spent the summer in Vegas.

The Old Farm S-1 Girls

It's also true, I am a TRUE AGGIE

4 of the 6 K-2 Girls : Erica, Alicia, Teri and me
We were the oldest girls in our ward, but I guess that
happens when you're still in college at 25.

This is one of my favorite memories. Bonny and I made a baked Alaskan without using any of our own ingredients. We went around our complex and asked our neighbors for ingredients. We had to round up a lot of eggs. We thought we were so funny.

This was back in 2001: It was a hot summer and we didn't have AC.

Alicia and I hiked up to the tower on top of that big mountain behind campus. We didn't hike down the way we came up so we ended up sliding on our butts all the way down. That hurt, but the battle scars were pretty awesome.

This was the huge snow storm in 2001 (?) USU actually cancelled classes for a day. Whoa! It was so cold that winter. Average temps were in the -20's. When it finally got above freezing degrees we no longer needed to wear our coats because it was so warm. Seriously.

The Olympic Torch ran right by my apartment complex, so I got to watch it go by and then I was able to hold the real deal.

I graduated!

I love your tally sheet of how many times people fell. Hahaha about the Baked Alaska, that IS funny! That's fun that you're all in the kiddie pool! I wish we had a place for one of those. And you got to hold the Olympic Torch? AWESOME!

Hooray for Logan and Utah State! I had some of the same experiences, true aggie-ness, seeing the olympic torch (in 6 degree weather) and falling down a lot...it gets slippery in the winter.

Ann, I gotta have copies of some of those pics! I don't think I have any of the ones I'm in with you:( So fun to see and look back. College years were awesome, huh. Now is fun too, but in a different way. I look back on those years with GREAT fondness. (probably b/c I was roommates with you:)

I was so excited that you found my blog and had a good time seeing yours. What a family, so cute! Since we just got back from Disneyland I have been thinking a lot about college. Hope we can stay in touch!
