For New Year's Day we took a trip to Astoria, Oregon.

Shelby's car trip faces are awesome.

 

Travis wanted to stop off at and elk reserve.  If only Travis could find hunting spots this good.

 This is the jail used to film the famous Fratelli brother escape in the movie The Goonies!

I figure if all this effort went into building a roof over a ginormous log, I should at least take a picture of it.

Travis refused to do the Truffle Shuffle.  Party Pooper!

The school were Kindergarten Cop was filmed. 

This is a lookout.  We climbed to the top.  It was really cold and  very windy. 

 The view was amazing.

Shelby started swimming lessons.  After her first lesson I asked her about her class and all she could say was, "Mom, this isn't swimming!"  I had to agree with her.  Her first few lessons were all about getting used to the water.  She passed her class and was approved to advance to the next level.  Lessons start in March.
