Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos

Travis, Beth, Jay and I drove to Seattle on Saturday for the game. This was the first NFL game for Travis and the first time I've been to a game with my brother. I loved it. We had so much fun!

The last game I've been to was at Mile High on October 17, 1994 when we played the Chiefs. We lost that game, but that game is listed as one of the best Monday Night games ever and as a Classic showdown between John Elway and Joe Montana. That was a great game.

We lost our battle to the Seahawks on Saturday, but it a preseason game so we could walk away without being too upset about the loss.

Trip/Game Highlights

-Travis waking up in the car after we've been driving for for 2 hours and we're stuck in traffic near Tacoma. "I can't believe we are doing all of this for a Bronco game."

-The Seahawks made the first touchdown of the game and the crowd is going crazy with excitement. Jay leans over to me while we are trying to ignore the crowd and says to me, "I've never been more annoyed with this many people and the same time before....and it's much easier to deal with opposing team touchdowns in the privacy of your own home when you can mute all the cheering."

-Garlic fries. As far as I know you can't get garlic fries at games anywhere but in Seattle. They are delish.

-I'll be honest. The nachos were good too. And the kettle corn and the Jones Green Apple Soda.

-The camaraderie of us Bronco fans sticking together.

-The Seattle fan who sat 2 rows below us and had to fist bump Jay every time the Broncos and/or the Seahawks did something amazing.

-Realizing our new QB Kyle Orton might not be that bad after all.

I totally want to go to a Seahawks game. Sounds like you guys had fun. Garlic fries ROCK, and it's a little depressing you can only get them here. They should be a staple food worldwide.
