About 6 months ago I bought Shelby a box of 64 crayons. She colors/plays with the crayons just about everyday so it's no surprise we don't have 64 crayons anymore. I know I've vacuumed a few of them up and I've tossed several broken ones away. But, today when Shelby was coloring I was amazed at how pathetic her crayon selection had become. So, I counted them to see how many we had left. We had 15 crayons. 4 of the 15 crayons are only a half of a crayon. So really, we had 11 crayons. I'm sure some of the missing crayons are hiding beneath couch cushions or stuck in a corner somewhere. But, it's crazy to think that we've lost about 50 of the original crayons. I may just have to buy another box.

I gave up on the crayon box fight a few years ago and invested in a small clear box to keep all of the crayons in. I swore I would never do this, because my mom had done this when we were kids. And there is something nastalgic about a box of crayons. But my sanity took over! Good luck.
