The previous owners left a lot of stuff on the deck when they left. One of the items left behind was a squirrel feeder. I got rid of it, but I still saw the same pesky squirrel running around our looking for food all the time. After a few months the squirrel finally stopped coming around. But, after about a 1 year hiatus he's back. Just recently he decided to try his luck finding food on our back deck once again. This squirrel isn't shy around people, either. He comes right up to our patio door and stands on his back two feet and holds his front two hands up right next to his face. This makes Shelby squeal with excitement. It's fun to watch.
Today, as the Shelbs and I were making our way down the stairs for breakfast, I spotted our squirrel. He was standing at our patio door as if he was waiting for food. We haven't fed the squirrel before, but this morning I decided to share some of our Cheerios. He munched on his cereal for quite a while before he decided he was full. I tried really hard to find our camera, but it seems to have disappeared. So, I took a photo with my cell phone. He's a cute little guy.

we have a bird feeder out in front of our living room window and my kids love to watch the birds come and eat out of it. It is great entertainment for them! They will just sit there and watch the birds...one of the few times they actually sit still and are quiet!!
