I knew something was going on when I got Shelby up this morning. She was burning up. At first I thought it was because she got too hot sleeping in her warm pj's with a blanket. But, after I changed her diaper and got her dressed she was still on fire. I took her downstairs and offered her a drink, which she refused. That's when I knew something was wrong. That's not the Shelby I know. I carried her into the bathroom to take her temperature and that's when the vomiting began. I knew it! As she was vomiting, she would look up at me with the saddest eyes I have ever seen. I could tell she didn't know what was going on. It was sad to see. I finally managed to get her temperature. It was 101.9. Yep, I've got a sick kid.
I called the doctor and Shelby was scheduled to see the doc later that morning. While I got dressed Shelby sat on my bed and watched Sesame Street. Shelby doesn't just sit still. Seeing her like this is so strange, I had to take a picture. Just after I shot this photo, she puked all over the bed.
This is how Shelby looked while we drove to the doctor's office. Again, it was so sad and strange that I had to take another picture. She sat like this one the way home, too. Poor, poor Shelby.

Having sick kids is the worst - especially when they are still so little! Hope she feels better soon!
Poor little girl.... hope she's feeling better.
Sorry to hear Shelby is sick! It is the pits when they are that little and they are throwing up! We have had our fair share of what we call "the throw ups" and be thankful you only have one kid....at my house it starts with one and then it is a domino affect! Hope she is feeling better soon! :(
so what did she have??? I sure hope she didn't give it to everyone in Nursery two days later...
can someone take care of me like that?!? i'm feeling a tad sick today too.
