Back In The Saddle Again

I was just walked into Shelby's room to get her up. She propped herself up to look at me and then plopped back down. I guess she's not ready to get up. Perfect time for a quick post.

Shelby and I went to the park yesterday. I learned somethings while we were there:
1. It's still too cold to be outside for an extended period of time. (we were at the park for 90 minutes)
2. Shelby can swing on the big kids swings.

This park has 2 playground areas. 1 for big kids and 1 for littler kids. Both areas were flooded. Boo. We ended up wandering around the park for a while before we came across a swing set that was not in a flood zone. The only problem was that the swings were designed for the big kids. Shelby (not knowing this about the swings) walked right up to one and in perfect charade fashion told me she wanted to swing. And guess what. She can actually do it. She held on tight and I pushed her back and forth. I even showed her how to pump her legs, which she did a few times. I was surprised. At one point Shelby forgot she needed to hold on and she fell off. No damage was done and she was back on the horse. A few minutes later her butt scooted off the seat and she fell off again. Still no damage was done and she was back in the saddle. I am still surprised can do this by herself. I know, my kid is a genius, right?! Or at least freakishly strong...!?

She is also courageous as she didn't cry and wanted to get back on. Hope the water disappears soon
