Snow is on everyone's mind and for good reason. In our back patio we have just about 2 feet of snow! Unbelievable. It has snowed just about everyday for a week or more. It's been fun to tromp out to the car with snow up to your knees and make snow angles if the mood strikes. The snow has also brought us to the Gray home almost daily and nightly with our rakes and brooms to knock off the snow atop the 8 newly built greenhouses. The job was fun at first, but after many sleepless nights (luckily not me for, I only had to get up at 4 am twice) the job was getting tireless. But, with the help of many, many, many ward members and family we've been able to keep the greenhouses from collapsing. And if it wasn't enough for us to just knock the snow off (which is much harder than it sounds) we had to dig the snow out between the greenhouses because it was getting so high that the sides of the greenhouses were sagging and the snow on top of the greenhouses had no where to go once it was knocked off. I haven't taken any photos of the Gray's property, but I borrowed a few from Warren who was able to snap a few photos.
Our tools: Towel-covered rakes, brooms and mops.
I prefer a wide-bristle broom. It has a lot of snow moving power.
This is the view of 4 of the greenhouses taken way before we had a lot of snow. Just imagine snow in between the greenhouses reaching the top of the roofs.
The beginning of clearing the snow between the houses.
After a 4ish hours of rooftop cleaning, Warren and I decided to make snow angles. Mine is on the right. The photo is dark becuase it was taken well before the sun came up.
