I've run into two problems about a week ago.
The first problem: I started working on a cross-stitch project that I need to get done before Christmas. The only time I have to work on the project is when Shelby is napping. Unfortunately, this conflicts with my exercise routine, which also happens to occur when Shelby is napping. I was forced to choose between exercising or working on the project. The project won.
The second problem: Halloween came and with it a whole bunch of candy. Sitting around for two hours in the afternoon cross-stitching gave me lots of time to eat Halloween candy. I ate much more than I should have, but I really couldn't help myself.
These two problems delayed my bi-weekly weigh-in on my bathroom scale. I knew I had gained weight. How could it have been avoided? No exercise and a candy diet = weight gain.
Well, I am almost done with my project and I don't feel as much pressure to cross-stitch during Shelby's nap time and the treadmill work-outs are coming back today. So, I figured I had to know how much damage was done. This morning I stepped on the scale. And much to my surprise I weighed 2 pounds less than my last weigh-in. Seems I should stick with my candy diet and totally ignore the treadmill. Works for me!

That 'problem' sounds familiar. The week before Ryan was born I couldn't stay out of some cookies I made. At my last appointment the nurse took me back and had me get on the scale - it was the only time I 'lost' weight while pregnant. I told her if that was the case then I was going to keep eating my cookies.
ha! i've found that being sick for the past 4 days has really helped. the best appetite supressant on the market!
oh my gosh, hilarious. although i'll be the party pooper and say you probably lost "muscle" which weighs more than flub. darn!
so you're good about working out at home? we're thinking about buying an elliptical and part of me wonders if people actually use their workout equipment.
Hey, Ann. I haven't checked in on your blog for a while. Shelby is so adorable and not little anymore! I love her hair. I don't think I'll have the patience to do Josie's hair. We'll see. Anyway, your naptime dilemma is what I am living right now. I am working on these really cute animal-shaped throw blankets and they are winning over yoga. I feel kind of yucky but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! Did I ever invite you to my blog? I can't remember.
