October Happenings

I've been a tad bit on the busy side lately so I haven't had time to post anything. Today, Shelby is playing peaceful and hasn't realized I left the room. I figured I better post some photos while I have the chance.

The first weekend in October is the Portland Greek Festival. The food was really good and I was pleased that Shelby is a fan of greek food. It was also raining and very cold so I didn't take any photos. The only exception to that is the picture I took of the banner that hangs outside the Greek Orthodox Church where the festival is held. The banner accurately describes the Greeks love affair and adoration for alcohol.

Shelby, Travis and I finally made it to one of Nate's Oregon City High School football games. His team is undefeated and obviously very good. I was actually amazed at some of the skills I saw when I watched the team play. Very impressive. I must admit that seeing Nate all dressed up in his football gear is pretty cool. Shelby had a good time watching the game (for a minute or two) but spent most of the time playing with her 2 cousins, Mark and Drew.

Shelby loves it when her dad comes home from work. Our jeep is very loud and we can hear him coming down the road. When we hear him coming Shelby loves to look out our window to watch her dad park the car and walk up to the house. Lately, Shelby and I have been taking walks outside while we wait for him to get home. When Travis arrives he takes Shelby for a quick drive around our place before he parks. Shelby loves it. I can't express that enough. You should see her smile.

Shelby's newest game is crawling under her highchair.

Shelby had a great time a the Bauman Farms Fall Harvest Festival. It was freezing, but Shelby didn't seem to mind. She enjoyed looking at the animals (as long as they didn't touch her without her approval first) and cruising around the playground.
