Tonight a group of us took a tour of Old Town Portland learning about the
hauntings and ghosts in the area. The tour included the use of an electromagnetic field meter to detect any ghosts, if there were any. It was very Ghost Hunter-
ish, but we didn't come across anything spectacular. The first place we visited was at Old Town Pizza, formerly the Merchant Hotel. It is believed to be haunted by a woman named Nina. When we were in the basement of the pizza place the EMF meters were going crazy by an empty chair. It's possible that Nina was sitting in the chair because one of the tour guests said "I think she's sitting in the chair" and as soon as that was said the EMF meters went dead. Interesting, but I wasn't too convinced. One of the guests snapped some photos of the chair and there were orbs in her photos....also interesting. My photos came out clear, so again, I wasn't too convinced. Anyway, the tour was interesting and I was able to visit a ton of places in Portland I had never heard of or visited. The pizza at Old Town Pizza was delicious and I want to get back there for more. Here are some photos from the tour.
The first photo was taken in the basement of the pizza place where Nina usually resides. Beth is playing around with the EMF meter and was really excited about it.
This was the chair Nina was supposedly sitting in. The EMF meters registered something, but my photo showed nothing.
Beth and I were using the EMF meters to see if we could detect anything in this hotel. A man murdered a woman here and then killed himself. We didn't see anything unusual here, except for the people we were staying in the hotel; they were a little
cooky.

Your ghost stories from work at the flower shop were always the best - don't you wish you would have had one of those fun little meters back then!
