The sun actually came out on Monday. It was a little strange seeing shadows and feeling a teensy bit warm. As soon as I realized that it was warm enough to play outside I dressed Shelby in this super cute outfit I've been dying to dress her in (thanks Jess). Shelby seemed to enjoy the sun because she didn't do her dragon scream all day. Hooray!
When we are visiting my sister, Shelby, will do just about anything to take a bath with the boys. Sometimes she'll just fuss and sometimes the boys will beg me to let her stay for tubby time. I usually don't mind her bathing with the boys, but sometimes it's just easier to do things at home. Well, on Wednesday, just as we were leaving my sister's place, Shel decided that bath time was more fun than going home and going to bed. She knew the only way she could manage this is to suddenly become very dirty. And she did. She had a huge, phenomenal, ginormous diaper blowout. Of course, you can't just wipe those kinds of messes up, so you guessed it, Shelby managed to have yet another tub with the boys.
A while back I mentioned that Shelby hasn't been taking naps. She ended up getting a little bit better with the nap routine, but she doesn't like to sleep becuase she'll miss out on all the fun. I've tried to tell her that laundry and vacuuming aren't exciting, but she won't listen to me. Today, things were going really well for naptime. I was hoping she'd sleep an hour, but she managed to doze for a whopping 20 minutes. She screamed and screamed for me to "rescue" her, and when I walked into her room I saw this. Now, how can you get angry at that face?! We ended up vacuuming, watering the flowers and folding laundry together. Not exciting, but I guess for Shel, anything is better than nap time.
