We have been in Portland for 2 weeks now and it still seems weird that we don't have to drive home to Everett on the weekends. It's fun to stay up late with our families and not worry about the 4 hour drive home.
Travis' job is going well. He's been in training and orientation, which means he's been working in all the different factory plants doing all sorts of things. Last week, he injured his wrist at work and has to wear a splint for a week. It's not serious by any means, but Travis felt weird filing a workman's comp claim the 2nd week on the job.
We were able to buy a townhouse in Oregon City, Oregon. (We are about 5-10 minutes away from all family members houses). It's not a huge place, but I think we can live there for 3-5 years. It's has 3 bedrooms with 2.5 baths. We are moving in on the 10th and bringing the furniture in on the 15th. In the meantime, we've been living in Clackamas, OR in corporate housing. We have a cute furnished 2 bedroom apartment with air conditioning and cable TV. And it's all free. The complex also comes with a swimming pool, which my family is grateful for. The pool is the only reason we ever get visitors. But, I am getting tan so it's OK.
The baby countdown in getting smaller. I have a little under 3 weeks to go, but I am hoping I don't make it to the actual due date (24th). I am way more than ready to be done with the pregnancy thing. And I think Travis is done having to deal with the pregnant Ann. We will both be glad when the baby is here.
